With the weighty issues of the country at stake and the General Election looming, Yahoo! naturally decided to take a more popularist stance and create a website dedicated to ‘The People’s Policies’. Essentially an alternative, fun and satirical approach to the election and a voice-piece for the public to share their own views. Direct from BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show and sitcom The Party Line, comedian Steve Punt became the official pundit for the people. The ex-star of The Mary Whitehouse Experience and one half of Punt and Dennis closely followed the unfolding drama with his own entirely serious blog – not really.
